Blackberry Tutorial #2: How To Back Up Third Party Apps

This tutorials teaches you how to back up the third party apps on your blackberry device.

What you will need:
-Blackberry devicehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
-USB cable
-Computer
-Blackberry Desktop Software 6 (DOWNLOAD HERE)

Steps:
-Open up blackberry desktop software 6 and then connect your device to the computer via the USB cable
-Select back up
-Select full then ok (this is the part where you backing up everything on your phone except the third party apps)DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR DEVICE!
-Once the back up is done click device in the upperhand corner, go down the menu and select switch devices
-Select your device
-On the next menu uncheck device data and make sure there is a check beside third party applications
-Click next to start back up
-When the back up is complete and the connect your new blackberry device select cancel because your are not switching devices

This is the Blackberry Orlando or the curve touch or the "mini bold touch". This device seems to be the higher end version of the Apollo/Sedona because it looks like it but this device has a touch screen. I would say its a mix between the Apollo/Sedona and the Malibu which is a curve that we saw earlier with a full touch screen with no physical keyboard.

Blackberry Tutorial #1

This tutorial teaches you how to make a signature for text/sms messaging. Follow these easy steps and you will be on your way:

1- Go to options
2- Select AutoText
3- Press Blackberry button
4- Select New
5- Type in your signature under with
6- Type an abbreviation for the signature under replace
7- Push back button
8- Select save
9- Compose a text/sms message
10- Type message
11- Leave a space and type the abbreviation for the signature
12- Press space and the signature will show up :)

Series of Blackberry Tutorials

I came up with the idea to start doing a series of blackberry tutorials to help people out who just got a blackberry or have a blackberry but still do not know how to do a certain task.
